Ned D. Ammons

Executive Director

Ned has been employed in the Senior Care industry for 27 years with a focus on serving seniors and their families.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, a minor in gerontology and an emphasis in Medical Terminology.  His professional experience includes serving as a social worker in Long-term care facilities as well as hospice.  Additionally, he has experience in overall start-up and daily operations of Senior Living communities.  Ned believes passionately in providing care for seniors and lives by the motto, “If I wouldn’t allow my own parents to live here then I most certainly would not allow yours.” 

Ken Hoeft

Environmental Services

Ken dedicated four years of his life to the United States Army, serving in Colorado. He has an extensive background in construction and maintenance with hotels and shopping centers. Ken is also a skilled artisan with special training in installing hardwood floors and stained glass windows for churches. Ken’s passion for working with seniors also extends to his personal life, where he cares for his father in-law and mother in-law. When he finds a little spare time during hunting season, he enjoys bow hunting. At Red Cedar Canyon, Ken enjoys the variety of his work and staying busy. His greatest passion is getting to know the residents and offering them the best customer service possible.

Ryan Rose

Culinary Director

Ryan was born and grew up in Frederic, Wisconsin. He has 15 years in the culinary industry working as a Cook, Sous Chef and Executive Chef.  Most recently, Ryan served as the Executive Chef at Sunsets Restaurant in Woodbury, Minnesota.   Ryan states, “My passion is to nurture with great food!”

Kim Stapleton, RN, BSN, WCC

Director of Nursing

Kim has been a Registered Nurse for 38 years; working in a hospital setting for seven years, home care for 18 years, long term care for 13 years, and currently in assisted living. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2002 and earned wound care certification in 2008. She currently lives on a hobby farm with her husband, John and Chocolate Labrador, Emma. They raise laying hens and beef animals. She enjoys gardening, her grandchildren, bike riding and sewing.

Whitney Strickland

Director of Community Outreach

Whitney was born and raised in Roberts, Wisconsin. She graduated from St. Croix Central High School in 2005; then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2011. Whitney has worked in the Senior Living industry for the last 8 years. She worked in Eagan, MN and St. Anthony, MN prior to joining the team at Red Cedar Canyon in 2015. Whitney now resides in New Richmond with her husband Ryan and their three children Lyla, Jett and Colt.

Angela Fortney, CTRS

Therapeutic Recreation Director

Born and raised in Green Bay, WI. Graduated from high school 1996. Attended the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, received a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and earned National Certification for Therapeutic Recreation in 2003. Worked in Hammond, WI as Life Enrichment Coordinator for eight years. Joined the team at Red Cedar Canyon December 2014. Enjoy the opportunity to use a variety of techniques including arts and crafts, animals, games, exercise and movement, and community outings as a way to improve and maintain physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the residents.
